I am proud to announce that FINALLY 16.05 is finished. Not much has changed on the surface for the end users however I have spent a great amount of time switching the way things are handled in the backend so that building and maintaining is both easier and less time consuming on my part.
The most notable change in the back end is a new rootfs built for Manjaro-Arm. Previously, I was creating it manually and it was very time consuming, now with the Basestrap script from Manjaro-Tools, I can create the rootfs within a matter of minutes.

We have finally added support for the Raspberry Pi 1 and Raspberry pi zero.
This is still in the testing phase but there is a Minimal image posted and ready to be tested by anyone. It should be pretty stable however, issues can be expected.
Moving forward, we will offer 2 ways of downloading and installing Manjaro-Arm to your device.
- The traditional Raspi way using images <.img> that can be dumped <dd> to the sdcard
- The current tarball method in which users can setup partitions themselves.
Both ways has its benefits and pitfalls so we feel it is best for the user to decide.

Hello,
Moving forward with the 16.04 releases, Server Edition is now up. The configuration is basically the same as the previous release.
- Apache 2.4.18
- MariaDB (installed awaiting configuration from the user)
- PHP 7
- FTP/SSH Enabled by default with default ports
There is no GUI present in this release. Upon boot, the Raspberry Pi 2 will begin serving you a website at the IP location. This website will look very similar to this home page.
All that is needed is for the user to login through SSH or FTP and start building thier site.

Hello,
We have released the next version of Manjaro-Arm Base Edition.
Base Edition has everything configured for a standard desktop. It uses XFCE and has been themed to match Manjaro's x86 XFCE flavor.
Let us know if you run into any problems or have any questions. We are still building this project and look foward to hearing from you as to what to improve.

For Raspberry Pi 2 (and Raspberry Pi 3 armv7)
Also major update to the repo. Breakages will occur.
Finally, we are releasing 16.04-rc1. We have a new repo structuer in place and can provide updates easier and smoother. With the new system, we felt that it was important that users start with a new base.
It is strongly recommended that you reinstall using this base however, you can still update from your Pi running previous Manjaro-Arm.
